Multi-Block Crafter
The Multi-Block Crafter is a Refined Storage pattern provider built as a rectangular multiblock. It must be connected to a Refined Storage network before it can provide patterns.
Structure Rules
| Position | Required block |
|---|---|
| Eight corners | Crafting Frame |
| Every exterior face, excluding corners | Heat Exchanger |
| Interior | Crafting CPU or Crafting Storage |
By default, all three dimensions must be between 3 and 16 blocks. Server configuration can change these limits.
Smallest Complete Crafter
A 3 x 3 x 3 shell is valid, but has room for only one interior block. Build a 3 x 4 x 3 crafter to include both a CPU and a Storage block.
Key: F = Crafting Frame, H = Heat Exchanger, C = Crafting CPU, S = Crafting Storage
Top layer Upper interior Lower interior Bottom layer
F H F H H H H H H F H F
H H H H C H H S H H H H
F H F H H H H H H F H F
- Place Crafting Frames at all eight corners.
- Fill the rest of the exterior shell with Heat Exchangers.
- Fill the interior with at least one Crafting CPU and one Crafting Storage.
- Connect the completed crafter to your Refined Storage network.
- Right-click a Crafting Storage block to add and manage patterns.
Breaking a required block disassembles the crafter and disables its patterns until the structure is restored.
CPU and Storage Blocks
Each Crafting Storage block provides one page of 78 pattern slots. Add Storage blocks to increase pattern capacity.
Each Crafting CPU increases the crafter's available crafting updates. The default implementation shortens its update interval as CPUs are added, down to one tick, and allows one successful crafting update per CPU.
Power Use
Default energy use is configurable:
| Block | Default power use |
|---|---|
| Crafting Frame | 0 FE/t |
| Heat Exchanger | 0 FE/t |
| Crafting CPU | 5 FE/t |
| Crafting Storage | 10 FE/t |
